Episode Notes

What is the tea? The girls are writing! Hey y'all, I'm Tasha Monét, and welcome to 'The Girls Are Writing!' – the podcast for all you procrastinators, perfectionists, and Black (with a capital B)  writers tired of being slept on by traditional publishing. If you've got unfinished manuscripts, lots of story ideas, you’re looking to leave traditional publishing, or self-publishing is your goal, this is your new home.

Every Tuesday, I’m sharing all the ups and downs of my journey as a Black indie author. We're talking real-time updates on writing my long overdue debut novel (and all the novels that will come after it, I’m manifesting y’all), my process and progress of  building an indie publishing company from scratch (yeah, I’m a bit ambitious), and all the messiness in between. No sugar-coating, no filter,  just real talk about writing, publishing, and my journey through it all..

Expect tips on crafting dope stories, navigating the publishing world as a Black woman, and turning your writing dreams into reality. Whether you're just starting out or you're ready to level up your author game, 'The Girls Are Writing!' is your weekly dose of motivation and real talk. If you’d like exclusive content, early access, discounted access to writing workshops, exclusive merchandise, and even a producer credit on the show, head to the Patreon or Ko-Fi, both called TheGawPod, and don’t forget to tell all the writing girlies that the show is available to listen to completely free anywhere that you can find podcasts.

So what are you waiting for? Join the #GAWGang by subscribing wherever you get your podcasts, and follow @TheGAWPod on social media. Remember, the girls are writing, and you should be too. Let's write together!
